Working with young children is my life passion.  During the year I spent at Hunters Woods Preschool as a parent, I found a place where I could pursue my passion. I'm excited for the opportunity to continue educating and nurturing young children as I lead the launch of a nature-focused enrichment program at the school. 

Prior to joining the staff at Hunters Woods Preschool, I ran an at-home cooperative preschool with a child-led Montessori focus.  I strongly believe in the power of the cooperative model to foster community and for the full benefit of the child. I have also held positions working with young children at the Congressional Schools of Virginia, and as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. 

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University, where I graduated with honors. Since earning my degree I have pursued continuing education in the areas of positive discipline and leadership.
